In March 2008, the councils of Maroochy Shire, Noosa Shire and Caloundra City amalgamated to form the Sunshine Coast Regional Council. The information on this website is relevant to the geographical area of the former Maroochy Shire.
Until the new council reviews and consolidates its operations, the local council regulations, laws, plans, policies and services in existence prior to amalgamation will continue to apply to the geographical areas of the former councils.
